Founded in 1989 as an agricultural cooperative and located in Cellino San Marco, Cantina Due Palme is one of the best winemaker in the South of Italy. Indeed Cantina Due Palme has gained a lot of awards, like the Vinitaly Award in 2007 and 2009 that defines it as the Best Winemaker of Italy.The cooperative has nowadays more than 1000 members and winegrowers, a 6 million bottles per year production, 90% red grapes and 10% whit grapes.
An agricultural, cultural and touristic project based on the practical art of the Spanish philosopher and landscape architect Fernando Caruncho who realized for the first time the whole landscape such as a garden. Amastuola’s vineyard represents a unique connection between production and aesthetic. The rows of vine draw parallel waves that follow for more than 3 km, as defined by the poet himself: time waves that flows from the antiquities in this land. There are also more than 1500 centuries-old olive grove, like historical monuments, that characterize the project with the contrast between the silver green of the olive grapes and the deep green of the vines.
Today the Farm Conti Zecca is composed by an ancient company’s set that includes the Lecce and Brindisi districts, in a land of 800 hectares, whose 40% is cultivated with vines. These 320 vine’s hectares are located on four big lands in Leverano and Salice Salentino, in the area of Doc wine of Salento.
The company provides both summer-cycle products and winter cycle. During summer it is possible to visit all of the many orchards with 60 variety of peaches, apricots, plums, pears and apples. In the same period the production is also composed by melons, watermelons, tomatoes and eggplants. In winter instead, the production is composed by broccoli, cabbages and artichokes. One of the main production is surely the extra virgin olive oil, product by the farm’s olive trees that expand for more than 20hectars. In these olive grows there are many centuries-old olives that show the tradition of the territory. Other plants are more recent.
The company deals with the production, processing and packing of fruits and vegetables. Some of the company goals are the work and product’s quality and relationship with market and final client’s improvement. The main cultures (chicory, potatoes, cauliflowers, broccoli, fennels and others) are located in Apulia, in the North of the district of Bari, Molfetta, Bitonto e Giovinazzo.
The Tratturi Reali farm, born in 1938 thanks to Caliandro family, is located in the heart of Salento, through the lands between Villa Castelli and Francavilla Fontana, in the wonderful set of thousand-year old olive where the wind from the both sea Ionico and Adriatico blows.The farm has a land of 150 hectares, 90 h. for olive trees and 15 h for vines, situated at an average height of 210 meters above sea level.The company worked in the agricultural market for more than 200 years. In fact Rocco Caliandro represents the sixth generation in the olive and agricultural tradition of the Caliandro family.
